Update #2 FBC Missions Team

All is well in Mexico City! We have had an incredibly productive and blessed week with the group of 11 from my home church. Our VBS program in Los Olivos concluded yesterday, and we had a really fun closing time with the kids--lots of teary goodbyes!  Each day we had slightly more kids than the day before, although in all, we had less than what we had expected--with about 35 kids per day.  I guess its important to remember quality not quantity!

Today the group is doing touristy things and having a "day off," which they well deserve since we've been going from sun up till sun down.  In the afternoons, they've done an amazing job at several work projects in the church, from gardening, to painting, to roofing!

Tomorrow is a work day alongside the members of our church.  We hope to get the majority of the laminate roof up and have our first ever service there this coming Sunday.

Tomorrow we will also have a big youth fellowship with the youth of our church, and I'm most looking forward to my brother Ben's arrival tomorrow night!  It will be his first time out of country, other than Canada.  I can't wait!

Saturday we will be presenting the VBS program in La Guacamaya and then participating in a special service on Sunday at church in Tlalnepantla/Atizapan.

On Monday the group flies out early, and I'm off for five days of vacation with my family. :)

Hope you all have had a good week!

Bethany

Does your house phone still not work?
Praying for you and trusting you will have a great time with family. Give your group a big hug and thank you for ministering in Mexico from us.
