God changes plans!!

Well this weekend I had planned to go to Morelia, Mexico to visit my Uncle Dave and Aun Donna Harper and cousins, however God changed the plans.

On Thursday night, I didn't feel a peace about going--just that we have a very busy week ahead of us with our bosses comiing and jumping right into meetings all week, and then that the trip was going to cost a lot more than we had thought. I called Rocio and told Darlene that the trip was off.

Saturday morning (yesterday) Darlene began throwing up without stopping and having severe stomach and side pains. Ron and Zina took her to a clinic by our house and they told her it was most likely her appendix. They they brought her to a very good and nice hopsital, ABC Hospital in Santa Fe (south-western Mexico City area). Sure enough it was her appendix and it was successfully removed yesterday. I'm typing from the hospital, where I spent the night with her. We are hoping she will be released today, as all went well and she is even eating liquids and some fruits and broths and gelatins. Pray for a quick recovery and little pain. She's in a lot of pain still and has a lot of difficulty moving around.

I thank God that HE KNEW this was going to happen and allowed us not to go to Morelia! Imagine had it happened in route to Morelia (a 3 hour trip from here). God was surely protecting us. I'm also thankful for this state-of-the-art hospital and the good insurance ABWE provides us. I think I slept better here than at home! They even made me my own bed here in Darlene's room. They are very attentive and the food was good too. It's good to know God takes care of us, in every part of the world. Sitting here it makes me realize how much God blesses us that we are here in this amazing hospital and they were able to do Darlene's surgery with a laserscope so she will have very fast recovery. Many people here I know can not afford this type of hospital and are sent to government hospitals which are notoriously horrible. I am thankful for what God has given us and that He is helping and healing Darlene!

I covet your prayers for her fast recovery, no additional problems, and the busy week of meetings that still lies ahead of us!

Thanks Bethany for the prayers... I'm beginning to freak out now. Trying to pack, the looming of saying goodbye, trying to get tons of paperwork done before we leave, and now we are getting calls from our "big brother" for a little home they found. And I'm trying to figure out through pics if it is the right one... anyhow... yeah thanks for letting me vent....

Love you
